PROUDLY ZIMBABWEAN. AFRICAN BY NATURE.
Powering Conservation
Harnessing the power of nature to protect it.
OUR PURPOSE
The Power to make a difference
Conservation Energy is pioneering a new way to fund conservation. By developing commercially viable renewable energy projects on conservation land, we turn the power of the sun into a sustainable source of funding for wildlife, wild spaces and the communities that depend on them.
OUR VISION
A future where conservation has the power to thrive.
Protecting nature takes sustained investment. Tourism and donations play a vital role, but their income can fluctuate, leaving landscapes and communities exposed.
Conservation Energy brings another source of support: solar assets that generate electricity and revenue over a long operating life. Our vision is to make conservation more financially resilient, while creating opportunity for the people who live alongside it.
Zimbabwean roots. African ambition.
THE CONSERVATION ENERGY MODEL
How sunshine becomes conservation funding.
01
Identify a suitable site
Assess land suitability, solar potential, commercial viability and grid access. Engage stakeholders and secure approvals for responsible development.
02
Develop solar power
Investment establishes a commercially sound solar plant that supplies renewable electricity to the grid, 25-30 year warranty.
03
Generate long-term revenue
Electricity sales support operations and financing obligations under agreed project structures.
04
Fund lasting impact
Available net revenue supports agreed conservation and community priorities, with transparent allocation and reporting.
Commercial strength underpins lasting conservation impact.
One investment.
25 years of conservation funding.
THE VALUE THAT WILL BE CREATED
Clean energy, Greater purpose
Our model takes a triple bottom line approach: supporting environmental protection, community wellbeing and long-term financial sustainability.
Nature and conservation
Support ranger teams, wildlife monitoring, habitat restoration, water management and fire preparedness.
People and communities
Create opportunities for employment, practical training, local procurement and community-led livelihoods that contribute to local and national development goals.
Energy and resilience
Supply renewable electricity and strengthen the capacity of landscapes and communities to respond to drought, fire and financial shocks.
Lasting impact, a wilder future
BUILDING THE FUTURE TOGETHER
Help power a brighter future for conservation
Conservation Energy brings together investment, renewable energy expertise and conservation partnerships to build a stronger future for protected landscapes and their communities.
